Machine Binding your Quilt

It's time to put the final touches on your project.  Join Donna from 9-noon to learn how to bind a quilt.

Two ways to learn.  In this class, Donna will be teaching the machine binding and explain how to prepare your quilt for hand stitched binding (after machine stitched to the front of quilt). Bring a small size quilted practice sample (2 fat quarters sandwiched with batting and then quilted),  and correct amount of fabric to bind the quilted practice piece. For binding, measure the project by adding all the side measurements together plus 10".  Cut your binding strips 2 1/2" WOF.  Example: if it's a fat quarter which is 18" x 22" you will get 70" plus 10" equals 80", divided by 40" (WOF) would be 2 strips so that means you would need 1/4 of a yard.  Let's do the cutting in the class.   Read SUPPLY LIST carefully for details.
